Hi Stephen G.; I am one of those perhaps rare Over-Agers..who is still working past (TheRetirementAge)! I have friends, acquaintances and family members who have more than hinted that I [need/should] 'retire'.
I have responded to those few I can relate to that many have retired but then are up and out again looking for (something-to-do) that is significant: Central Park Conservatory; ASPCA; Library...etc.
Well my 'S.To D.' is getting up in the morning--and getting OutThere into the fray--every day. This seems for the moment my method of making sure I do not get too stiff, and keeping my mind active.
My doctor wants me to get in app'x 9-thousand steps a day. While working I usually average between 10 and sometimes 15-thousand steps daily. I do not know for sure of course, but this might be keeping me healthier than were I to have "retired" already.
It is likely that remaining At Work for this length of time could be the thing which keeps particularly me cranking on all cylinders...at least, errrr..for the moment. btw~I am in fact far over the age of retierment age--and fully (finally) intend to retire by the *company's fiscal term next year. ::smiling::: .
