..bingo(!) Akbar Tantowi... . From the moment Homo erectus/Homo sapiens...and then all that activity and stuff of Homo sapiens sapiens 'changes' the world's environment, we are steadily on a track toward complications. Doomed when we consistently do other than simply living-with-Nature, (see pre-Homo stasis). We of course start slowly at first, then one wonderful invention leads to another.
~~ We all know deep within ourselves that to dig for copper ore, or to make bronze weapons and tools is to 'change' the nature of the area in which we live. Eventually the appeal of deep uranium mines come next. Regardless the fact that we deem it to be exploratory and or necessary we cannot [not] do the adventurer-deed. The run-off effects of 'creation' always will affect the nearest clear, clean stream.
~~ An "invention" is cool, helpful, and progressive. It can lighten the burden on beasts and Beings alike. Wheels which roll smoothly are faster and more convenient. As opposed to dragging a mighty moose on sled rails. -- But somewhere down-the-line, we Beings will surely reap the consequences of extreme changes to Nature and our once pristine planet.
